Marquise J. Boyd

Managing Partner

Most recently, Marquise was an associate for a $13 billion alternative investment fund within Goldman Sachs’ Quantitative Equity Solutions business. Part of a three-person portfolio management team, Marquise led the fund’s marketing initiatives. He also co-led product management and asset raising efforts for the launch of the funds fourth vintage. The fund's structure, complexity, and lean nature enabled him to wear multiple hats — from providing fund level expertise to prospective and existing clients, to extracting and analyzing data from Salesforce for marketing initiatives. He demonstrated and strengthened his ability to charismatically interact and manage projects across a variety of teams including operations, internal and external salesforces, engineering, business strategy, and investing teams. Marquise’s performance and maturity in this role helped him earn an early promotion to associate, a full year ahead of his cohort. Before working in the Quantitative Equity Solutions business, Marquise was an analyst within Fundamental Equity at Goldman Sachs. As a generalist covering the groups Growth and Value equity strategies, he provided in-depth analysis and individual stock commentary to institutional and retail investors.

Marquise earned his B.B.A. from Temple University at the age of 31. He is most proud of his elected role as Fundraising Chair for the student chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). He founded the school’s first Black student-led professional development conference, the Annual NABA Student Symposium, affectionately modeled after the Annual Whitney M. Young Conference held at the Wharton School.
