At the age of 26, Ravi J. Mallik founded Agora Group, Inc., the first Robotics and Business Process Automation (RPA/BPA) Consulting & Strategy Firm. With no staff or seed capital, Agora grew to over 75 team members with offices throughout North America, India (Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore & Chennai), and the United Kingdom. Agora built and serviced 38 clients and partners directly through Master Service Agreements (MSAs) in the Fortune 500 with the likes of IBM, American Express, Charles Schwab, Blue Cross Blue Shield, along with many Federal government/public sector clients like the Department of Defense. After receiving 20+ offers from the largest global System Integrators, Agora Group was acquired July 2015 by a public, strategic buyer, Virtusa Inc. (NASDAQ: $VRTU) for a higher-than-market valuation.
